Great range top for a small cabin.

This range works great for a small off-grid cabin. The only thing I would change is the adhesive decal around the control knobs. It is subject to melting due to the heat from the nearby burner.

Camp Chef Alternative - worth it!

Been using a Camp Chef stove/oven for over 4 years. Finally took a dump. Purchased another camp chef that was the professional one with a bit more space and higher BTUs. Out of the box, it was junk. Customer service kept trying to make us replace parts to fix it therefore breaking the warranty. Long story short, we found this as an alternative. On first review, out of the box it has a few cosmetic flaws but nothing that would keep it from functioning. The stove BTUs are higher and hold a flame better in the wind. The oven seems like it’s on steroids compared to the camp chef. I had issues keeping the camp chef stove lit in the wind. This is not the case with the Flame King. It’s a bit tricky to learn the adjustment for the stove temperature but once you do, this handles like a champ.
PROS: Better BTUs than previous camp chef
Sturdy and better built oven compartment especially in the wind
Comparable price to other competitors
CONS: Oven space is a bit smaller so need to take that into consideration when wanting to do some outdoor
cooking for a large group
Petty but I don’t care for the bright green top
The temperature gauge that is included gets in the way of cooking a full size dish so you are
constantly fighting with that.
Overall, I would recommend the flame king over the camp chef. If you are on the fence, go with flame king. You’ll be happy you did.

Stove works as it should. Seems decently built for the price. Not a lot of control on the burner flames. But definitely works.

Camping in style

This is a pretty nice stove/oven combo. It allows you to cook up items the family is more use to, which helps those getting introduced to camping. Chicken nuggets and fries are in the oven! Of course when camping sometimes near anything tastes good :) Also, The refillable propane tanks they sell are pretty nice to have especially when the one use green cans are trying to be banned.

Reliable Stove

I put this stove in a countertop that I built for a van build. Just make sure to leave extra room for the propane hose bend after screwing it on because it will stick out several inches. I barely had room for it after I had already cut out the hole for the stove. Just give yourself some extra room in the back of the stove counter. The flame is hard to adjust but once you figure it out, it works well. Light flame, then turn the knob to the left until it clicks. The flame will be on high. Then, push knob down and turn to the right to lower the flame. Stove works well. I've been using it for a year now.
